The story of Alexander McQueen has Kanye West doing a lot of open self-reflecting.

The “Jesus Walks” rapper reflected on his suicidal thoughts after watching a new documentary on Alexander McQueen, the late British fashion designer who hung himself in 2010.

“I know how it feels to want to take your life back into your own hands even if it means taking your own life,” he wrote in a series of tweets. “I’ve had these kinds of thoughts and I’m going to tell you things I’ve done to stay in a content place.”

He then offered this piece of advice to his audience, “Avoid being around people who make you want to kill yourself.”

West, 41, has published more tweets since, but nothing relating to his suicide prevention tips.
