(Spoiler Alert!)
Michael B. Jordan’s villain character Erik Killmonger didn’t make it out of this year’s “Black Panther” alive, but if he had, the actor thinks he could have seriously challenged “Avengers: Infinity War” baddie Thanos.
The 31-year-old was in LA promoting his MBJAM event in support of Lupus LA where The A.V. Club put the question to him about how Killmonger would have fared against the galactic, genocidal villain.
“I think the one thing about Killmonger is he really plans his attacks, and they’re well thought out,” Jordan responded. “So if he ever stepped in a situation with Thanos, he would feel confident that he had the upper hand—at the very least, he would know he had a shot.”
Jordan continued: “We already know that Erik’s willing to sacrifice himself for a greater good, so I don’t think he’s ever fearful of losing his life. So I think if he ever stepped in front of Thanos, he’d already have a plan for taking him down.”

Of course, Killmonger won’t get the chance, and fans will just have to wait until 2019 for the next “Avengers” film to see how the heroes left alive at the end of “Infinity War” manage to face off against Thanos.
Meanwhile, Jordan will next be seen in the sequel “Creed II”, out in theatres Nov. 21.
