The crossover hit from country duo Florida Georgia Line and pop singer Bebe Rexha just smashed a major record.
According to The Associated Press, “Meant to Be” remained at the top of the Billboard Hot country songs chart for an incredible 35th week, setting a new record on the chart.
The previous record holder was Sam Hunt’s “Body Like a Back Road”, which managed to stay at No. 1 on the country songs chart for 34 weeks in 2017.
On the Hot 100 chart, “Meant to Be” managed to peak at No. 2 after the song debuted in December.
Florida Georgia Line previously held the same record for their song “Cruise”, featuring rapper Nelly, which stayed at No. 1 on the country chart for 24 weeks in 2012 and 2013.
