Ivanka Trump is now a highly polarizing figure, thanks to her controversial role as White House adviser to her father, U.S. President Donald Trump.
Back in 2006, however, the president’s daughter wasn’t offering advice on foreign relations or economic matters, but on the make-believe firings in a TV boardroom on “The Apprentice” — and it was around this period that she was reported to have dated actor Topher Grace, then starring in Fox sitcom “That ’70s Show”.
In fact, a 2006 article in People reported that the two were an item, although reps for neither would confirm the report’s veracity.

“Ivanka Trump and Topher Grace got close this weekend in Las Vegas, where she celebrated her 25th birthday on Saturday at Pure nightclub,” read People‘s article. “Trump and Grace…danced and cuddled on the VIP bed and even shared a quick kiss during the party, which was also attended by Ryan Cabrera, Chelsea Handler, and Maroon 5’s Adam Levine.”
More than a decade later, Grace is finally revealing the truth: He and Trump did briefly date… sort of.
“Uh… I did,” Grace admitted “reluctantly” in an interview with the Daily Beast while promoting his role in Spike Lee’s latest film, “BlacKkKlansman”.

“Certainly it wasn’t a political statement,” added Grace, who married actress Ashley Hinshaw in 2016. “This was a decade ago. I met her here in New York and we went on a couple of dates. I wouldn’t say that we ‘dated’ but… I didn’t do it for political reasons.”
Grace also tells the Daily Beast that he “never met her father,” and when given a joking suggestion that he could play her husband, Jared Kushner, in the inevitable Trump biopic, he laughingly responded, “I don’t know, man.”
