Carrie Underwood thinks her dream of having a big family with lots of children may not come true.

In an interview with Redbook, the country singer said, “I’m 35, so we may have missed our chance to have a big family.”

“We always talk about adoption and about doing it when our child or children are a little older,” she added. “In the meantime, we’re lucky to be a part of organizations that help kids, because our focus right now in our lives is helping as many kids as possible.”

Response from fans to Underwood’s comment was mixed, with many pointing out that 35 is not too late to have kids.

Others thought the Internet weighing in on Underwood’s feelings on the matter was a bit much.
