Topher Grace says he’s happy to pass along the “Venom” role to Tom Hardy.
Grace, 40, who played the villainous role in 2007’s “Spider-Man 3”, talked to Inverse about the new “Venom” stand-alone flick and Hardy’s portrayal.
While promoting his new film “BlacKkKlansman”, the actor told the outlet: “To me — I truly mean this — I think Tom is the guy to play that role.
“I’m thrilled to watch it as a fan. I really mean that. I think he’s just the best dude.”
This isn’t the first time Hardy has starred as a villain from the comic book universe. In 2012, Hardy starred as Bane in the critically acclaimed “Batman” sequel, “The Dark Knight Rises”.
“Venom” hits theatres Oct. 5.
