The van, a 1964 American Harvester Metro, was confirmed to be the band’s mode of transportation by former member Ray Tabano, who was the original rhythm guitarist between 1970 and 1972.

He told Boston.com the rusty machine was a “rolling hotel” for the band, before adding, “I’m afraid to say how long it is, but it’s been, like, 40 years since we’ve been in this thing.”

The van was found behind a farm in Chesterfield, Massachusetts, just a couple towns west of Aerosmith’s hometown of Boston.

In the episode, which aired on July 30, Wolfe called it: “one of the biggest and most iconic pieces of rock-and-roll history.”

“American Pickers” paid the property owner $25,000.
