Police Say Rascal Flatts Concert Was Evacuated Over Bomb Threat

By Shakiel Mahjouri.

Rascal Flatts arrive at the CMT Music Awards.

Rascal Flatts left the stage and never returned for an encore in Indianapolis last Thursday night.

Concertgoers eagerly anticipated an encore from the band, only for security guards to tell the audience to leave. According to fans in attendance, a public announcement asked for everyone to exit the area and guards instructed concertgoers to evacuate.

According to The Associated Press, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department said the evacuation was in response to a bomb threat made the night of the concert that was determined to be a credible danger.

No arrests have been made, and the sheriff’s department said they won’t release more details as the threat is still under investigation.

Rascal Flatts took to Twitter on Friday to inform everyone the show ended early due to a “security concern.”

“Due to a security concern at the show last night, standard procedures were quickly executed and everyone was able to safely leave the building,” they tweeted. “The safety of our fans, band and crew is always the top priority for us, so we are so thankful for everyone who jumped into action and for your understanding. We will be back soon!”
