Fans are getting their first look at Sabrina Spellman with brand new images from Netflix’s “Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina”.
Based on the comic book of the same name, “Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina” stars “Mad Men” alum Kiernan Shipka as Spellman in the darkly re-imagined coming-of-age story of Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

Billed as being in the vein of “Rosemary’s Baby” and “The Exorcist”, the new series will follow Sabrina as she comes to terms with her dual nature as half-witch, half-mortal, while standing up against evil forces that threaten her family and friends. And judging from these first images, Netflix has totally nailed the “chilling” part of the story.
According to the Netflix description, the photo below details “the dark baptism of Sabrina”, complete with a bloody, shirtless man in a mask, a presumed coven of witches, and a guy in a fancy coat who looks like the kind of guy you don’t want to cross.

“Riverdale” showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is writing the series and will also executive produce. Archie Comics characters like Betty and Veronica make appearances in the original material, so an official crossover between “Riverdale” and “Sabrina” sounds like it’s in the works.
“Riverdale” cast members Marisol Nichols and Mark Consuelos teased that Sabrina Spellman will show up on “Riverdale”, revealing they’re just as excited about the new series as everyone else.
