Drake’s well on his way to earning his second “Song Of The Summer” with the viral hit, “In My Feelings”.

According to Billboard, the Canadian rapper, 31, is currently in the No. 1 spot on the running tally, beating out Cardi B, Bad Bunny and J Balvin’s “I Like It”.

Not only is “In My Feelings” ruling in the top song of summer spot as of August 13, but it continues to rule the Hot 100 chart for the fifth week in a row.

Besides “I Like It”, Drizzy’s other hit “Nice For What” and Post Malone’s “Psycho” are in the running for the “Song of Summer” honour.

In 2016, Champagne Papi climbed to number one Song of the Summer spot with “One Dance”.

Andy Gibb was the first Billboard Song of the Summer titleholder with 1977’s “I Just Want To Be Your Everything” and 1978’s “Shadow Dancing”. Mariah Carey earned her first in 1990 with “Vision Of Love” and her second in 2005 with her classic “We Belong Together”. Katy Perry was the last before Drake with “I Kissed A Girl” in 2008 and “California Gurls” in 2010.

But we’ll have to wait until after Labour Day to see who will take the 2018 Song of the Summer title.
