Colbert Mocks Omarosa’s Claim That ‘Apprentice’ Tape Proves Trump’s A Racist  — Because He’s Already Proven It

While promoting her new White House tell-all Unhinged, former “Apprentice” villain Omarosa Manigault-Newman has been making the shocking claim that a long-rumoured tape of Donald Trump using the N-word actually exists — and that she’s heard it with her own two ears.

On Monday’s edition of Global‘s “The Late Show”, host Stephen Colbert jokes about the tape, which Manigault-Newman said on “Meet the Press” proves the president is “truly a racist.”

The way Colbert sees it, the existence of the tape doesn’t prove Trump’s a racist — because he’s already proved it himself with his own words.

Pointing out that “Omarosa has written a salacious new book full of shocking details that you already knew,” Colbert shared a clip from her “Meet the Press” interview with Chuck Todd, revealing that she heard the tape firsthand.

“This is huge,” Colbert quipped. “Finally we have proof that the guy who refused to rent to black tenants, said that a Nazi Klan rally had some ‘fine people’ and called Africa a ‘shithole’ is racist.”

You can catch Colbert’s entire monologue in the video above. “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET/PT on Global; you can also watch full episodes online.
