Marie Avgeropoulos, who stars in CW’s popular post-apocalyptic drama “The 100”, was arrested last week for domestic violence after allegedly getting into an argument with her boyfriend.

The 32-year-old Canadian actress was arrested in Los Angeles after her boyfriend called the police during a verbal argument, according to TMZ. A source told the publication that the boyfriend had marks on his body when the police arrived.

Avgeropoulos, who plays the rebellious Octavia Blake on “The 100”, was later released from jail on $50,000 bond after her boyfriend bailed her out.

Another source told TMZ that her boyfriend didn’t expect the cops to arrest her, he just hoped they would “diffuse the situation.” He allegedly begged the officers not to haul his girlfriend off to jail and does not plan on pressing charges.

The same source revealed to TMZ that Avgeropoulos had recently started taking new medication and was drinking wine during dinner that evening. The combination of the new meds and alcohol apparently resulted in a “bad reaction.”
