“Designing Women” is celebrating the quarter-century anniversary of its series finale with a reboot.

Sony Pictures Television Studios (SPTS) is moving forward with plans to remake their women-led sitcom for a new generation. The original “Designing Women” wrapped up in 1993 after seven seasons.
Original series creator Linda Bloodworth-Thomason is behind the revival; SPTS is currently pitching the show to networks.
Just like the original, the reboot is expected to focus on four women and one man working at an interior designing firm.

Delta Burke, Dixie Carter, Annie Potts, Jean Smart, and Meshach Taylor starred in the original series.
