Tara Reid raised eyebrows in a TV appearance Friday morning.
The actress was interviewed on Australia’s “Today Extra” to talk about the new “Sharknado” film, looking spaced out, slurring her words, and going off on awkward tangents.
“This one, you guys, honestly is beyond… it’s my favourite one,” she told the anchors, barely getting the words out. “It’s so ridiculous. It’s so bad that it’s good.”
A rep for Reid told ET Canada, “Tara wasn’t feeling well and been having serious back pain throughout her time being in NY. Despite being in pain, she pulled through and did as many interviews with a smile as she can.”
According to The Blast, following the “Today Extra” interview, Reid dropped out of an appearance on the AOL Build Series she was scheduled for with co-star Ian Ziering.
The actress reportedly also left New York, posting a video from the airport on Instagram in which she said that she was done with her press tour.
Reid did appear earlier with Ziering for an interview on Fox 5 NY where she also seemed to be slurring her words.
On “Today Extra”, Reid also shared an experience she once had in Australia.
“One time when I was visiting in Australia I took a helicopter over, we were landing in a hotel, and as we took the helicopter over we went, like, really low down and I saw the netting,” she said.
“And where the netting was, it was unbelievable, there was so many stingrays and sharks. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. And then you see like, little kids playing on the beach, I’m like, ‘Oh my god, do they have any idea what’s on the other side of those nets.
“I’ve never seen anything like that in my life. It was the Gold Coast,” she added.
Viewers expressed concern over Reid’s strange appearance, noting how awkward the whole thing was, including crew members’ laughter during the interview.
