Sophie Turner was pictured crying on the streets of New York with her fiance Joe Jonas recently and the actress has now taken to Twitter to explain what happened.
Turner, 22, who was in the city to celebrate Jonas’ 29th birthday, shared one of the snaps in question, alongside the caption:
After another fan then questioned whether her period was the real reason she was sobbing, she joked:
Turner’s posts come after she teased “Game of Thrones” season 8 in an interview for 1883 magazine.
She said of the eagerly anticipated final season, “This season is bloodier than ever. It’s full of betrayal, full of war, full of danger. That’s all I can say without giving too much away.”

Turner, who plays Sansa Stark in the hit series, talked about whether or not it ever gets tiresome having people analyze her every move because of the show’s huge success.
“It doesn’t get frustrating; it’s entertaining. When I dyed my hair blonde everyone thought Sansa was a Targaryen. Everyone reads very much into what we do in our personal lives.”
