Logic Paints Dramatic Narrative Of Border Separation Policy In ‘One Day’ Visuals

Logic and OneRepublic lead vocalist Ryan Tedder team up for an emotional, powerful new music video.

The visuals for “One Day” intertwine the song with acting segments to address the U.S.’s controversial border separation policy.

The story follows an immigrant baby separated from his parents. He grows up in a foster system, gets adopted, attends high school, gets a post-secondary education and eventually becomes a surgeon.

The character is portrayed by different actors throughout his stages of life, most notably by “Antman and the Wasp” actor Michael Pena.

He is not the only popular actor to appear in the video. Luiz Guzman and Judy Reyes also appear.

Logic and Tedder make a brief cameo in the video, which not only tackles the border separation policy but also the country’s racial divide.

The audio for “One Day” was released in July.
