Trish Stratus Returns To The WWE Ring To Take On Alexa Bliss In First-Ever Women-Only Pay-Per-View Event

She may have retired from professional wrestling in 2006, but Canada’s own Trish Stratus just can’t seem to stay out of the ring.

The seven-time women’s champion, three-time WWE Babe of the Year and WWE’s Diva of the Decade has popped back into the action since then (most recently earlier this year at the first-ever women’s Royal Rumble) and will soon be seen again at the upcoming all-female WWE Evolution pay-per-view event.

In a WWE announcement on Sunday, it was revealed that Stratus will be taking on current Raw Women’s Champ Alexa Bliss “in what is sure to be a match for the ages.”

Not only will this mark the first time that Bliss and Stratus have faced off against each other in the ring, declared the announcement, “but it will also mark Stratus’ first match since competing in the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble Match earlier this year.”

WWE Evolution will take place on Oct. 28; here’s how Twitter reacted to the news:
