Marilyn Manson was not having a good night when he took to the stage in Houston, Texas, on Saturday, performing only a handful of songs before abruptly halting the show after collapsing onstage.
As Houston Press reports, Manson — currently on tour with co-headliner Rob Zombie — got off to a rocky start, with the 49-year-old singer said to be “mostly stationary and visibly shaking at times while he braced himself with the microphone stand” during his first few songs.
Things reportedly got worse after he performed “Sweet Dreams”, with Manson collapsing atop one of the onstage monitors as roadies looked on from the side of the stage “worriedly contemplating on whether or not to assist him.”
According to Houston Press, “Talk backstage speculated that it was a horrible case of food poisoning,” while photographers were escorted from the photo pit at the front of the stage and told that “Manson was feeling very ill and did not want his picture taken.”

Earlier in the set, Manson told the crowd that he was suffering from “heat poisoning.”

After the show, Manson took to Twitter to let fans know he was OK.
The “Antichrist Superstar” rocker’s concerts in recent years have been characterized by illness, meltdowns, and mishaps. Last month, for example, Manson’s Twitter account explained that the flu prevented him from performing during the tour’s stop in Toronto.
In late September 2017, Manson was sidelined for several months after an onstage prop fell on him during a show, breaking his leg. When he returned to the stage in February 2018, he cut short his first concert since the accident after an apparent onstage meltdown.
