Royal fans were forced to do a double take in London this week after they thought they’d spotted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle enjoying a drink down at the local pub.
Despite the actors in question sparking a striking resemblance to the recently-wed pair, it was actually all part of a promo stunt by Madame Tussauds.
The tourist attraction fitted a man and a woman with waxwork heads and had them travel around London to experience all sorts of British things.
The impersonators were even spotted taking a dog that resemblanced Markle’s pup, Guy, out for a walk at one point.
Twitter users immediately took to social media to call the whole thing “creepy.”
The waxworks’ outing comes after Madame Tussauds unveiled Harry’s figurine on his 30th birthday. The company also added Markle’s waxwork next to his just before the royal wedding.
Figurines aside, it was recently reported that the Duchess had headed to Toronto for a solo trip without her other half.
According to Royal Central, Markle boarded an Air Canada flight to the city. The publication added that Kensington Palace had warned the airline beforehand not to approach her for pictures.
Markle previously lived in Toronto while filming the TV series “Suits” and has numerous friends in the city.
