Azealia Banks is taking a step back and apologizing to Elon Musk.
Just a couple of weeks ago, the controversial rapper recounted visiting the home of billionaire Tesla founder Elon Musk and his girlfriend, Canadian EDM artist Grimes, to spend the weekend.
According to Banks, her visit to Musk’s mansion was a complete disaster, detailing her experience in a series of Instagram stories, claiming that the Tesla founder and Grimes were “two f**king crackheads,” adding: “He’s on tweeting on acid f**king up his own stocks and whatnot. A real-life dummy.”
The drama continued after Musk responded to a Twitter DM, saying that he had never even met the 27-year-old.
Now, Banks has taken to her Instagram stories again, but this time to apologize for her actions.
“I feel terrible about everything,” she said. “This is a strange situation to be in, and I’m not sure how to begin this letter. I guess I could start off by apologizing for all of the painful events you’ve endured over the past week, as I feel as though my actions have largely exacerbated them.”
“It’s important you know that I came to your home without a single intention other than finishing a series of tracks with “”, who I’d been in correspondence with since sometime around June and July,” Banks continued.
“Over the time spent liaising said collaborations, I was welcomed to a lot of personal information about you,” she added. “The stuff made me feel awkward and uncomfortable about being privy to, yet I never had any intentions of ever using the information against you. What started off as a cat-fight lead to some seriously unexpected consequences and I sincerely apologize.”
