Selena Gomez addresses the haters and dealing with criticism in a brand new interview.

The 26-year-old, who is set to launch her Puma DefyxSG sneakers next month, discusses her latest business venture in the chat, with her admitting it’s not always plain sailing when it comes down to pleasing everybody.

Talking about dealing with criticism in the fashion world and people struggling with body confidence, Gomez explains: “I feel like I’m one of those people. I actually am one of those people. I understand and I get what they’re feeling and what they are afraid of.

“It’s all about how you feel at the end of the day. That’s my approach to myself — seeing it’s not okay that I’m not accepted, that I’m different from anybody else,” she adds to Footwear News.

It was reported earlier in the summer that Dolce & Gabbana creative director Stefano Gabbana had called the singer “ugly” on Instagram. However, Gomez insists she has a way to deal with the haters.

“It’s OK that I’m not accepted this way. It’s OK that I’m nice and not intense. I don’t really care. I have to express my message to myself more than my fans. I would say that ‘I get it, I’m like you.’”
