Orlando Bloom was booted out of India after he arrived in Delhi without a valid visa, the Economic Times of India reports.
Bloom was set to promote tourism in the region after being invited by India’s Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.

“He had applied for an e-visa and didn’t get a reply. His office thought that he would get the visa on arrival,” his host and politician Amar Singh said. “Being a Hollywood celebrity, he has never faced such treatment in any other country…But the immigration staff could not understand who he was and they sent him back.”;
The actor, who arrived into the country with a serious stomachache, was sent back to the UK at 4 a.m. He then flew back to India on Sunday morning after External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj intervened in the matter.
