She’s done it again – Kim Kardashian broke the Internet, in her own words.
The reality TV star tweeted a public apology to Apple users yesterday, after her“Kimoji” emoticon app caused the App Store to crash due to overwhelming downloads.
Apple, I’m so sorry I broke your App Store!!!

We worked so hard on this app & we know there are some issues due to the massive downloads that the whole tech team is so working on!

The app, released Monday, features over 250 Kim-oriented emojis, including some of the star’s famous selfie poses (yes, including the infamous “belfie.”) The keyboard plugin costs $2.29 on the App Store, but that didn’t stop a massive number of users from downloading it after its release.
However, some have disputed Kardashian’s claims that she “broke” the app store.
According to Apple’s System Status support page – which shows any outages affecting Apple’s services – there were “no reported issues” on Monday.
That’s not to say that a massive number of users trying to download the app didn’t cause the service to slow down, however.
The Kimoji app continues to hold the top spot in the Canadian App Store’s top chart.
