If you have $68 million lying around, there may be a Beverly Hills home in your future.
Cher’s first Beverly Hills mansion is back on the market, as featured this week on TopTenRealEstateDeals.com. The 20,000-square-foot main residence boasts 11 bedrooms and 17 baths. Outdoor amenities include stone terraces, a pool, spa, outdoor kitchen, and tennis court, plus some sort of super-funky water fountain.
Do you have family or friends in town and are scratching your head as to how you will accommodate them? No worries! If 11 bedrooms is five bedrooms too few, the 7,000-square-foot detached guest house holds five more bedrooms and baths.
Can’t afford to keep your guests company? If they’re all out of Netflix shows to binge, they can cure their boredom with the large equestrian centre and luxurious stable, which includes five stalls and a large lounge area.
Hold your horses — pun intended — because the “unfinished main residence is in the first stage of an interior remodelling” and will likely be even more lavish upon completion.
The website notes how “the grounds are reminiscent of a European park in summer with expansive lawns, flower beds, mature trees and walkways. Tucked behind foliage are two large riding rings and also a network of riding trails that wind throughout the property.”
The team over at Douglas Elliman Real Estate in Beverly Hills is listing the property at $68 million. That price is $17 million below the original asking price, so at least you don’t need $95 million lining your pockets.
Cher designed and built the home in 1980 before selling it to Eddie Murphy later in the decade. It has since been owned by other parties. Could you be next? Probably not.
