Rain Dove has spoken out after releasing texts to the police about Asia Argento’s alleged sex with a minor in 2013.
Dove, 28, who is dating #MeToo activist Rose McGowan, 44, was interviewed by the “Today” show, and insisted to TMZ: “I just wanted [the texts] to be a part of the legal process going forward.”
The comments come after Jimmy Bennett, 22, claimed he was 17 years old when he had sex with Argento, now 42. It was also reported that the actress agreed to pay the child actor $380,000 after his attorney said he intended to sue.
Argento has since denied the claims. However, Dove insisted: “When it became apparent that they were not going to allow for justice to occur or for the truth to be on the table, I knew I had no choice but to go forward because otherwise I would be complicit and I would be robbing another individual of their ability to be heard in their story.”

The gender-nonconforming model continued, “I’m not anti-Asia or anti-anything. I just believe Jimmy Bennett deserves to have justice and I believe that due process deserves to have it.
“All victims deserve justice. Justice can rarely exist without honesty. For many victims of sexual assault their justice may never come in the court of law due to lack of evidence or time passage. It’s heartbreaking and cruel.”
According to TMZ, one of the texts reportedly sent to Dove from Argento read, “The public knows nothing, only what NYT wrote. Which is one-sided. The horny kid jumped me.”

Argento recently said in a statement: “I am deeply shocked and hurt by having read news that is absolutely false. I have never had any sexual relationship with Bennett.”
Bennett starred as Argento’s son in her 2004 film “The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things” when he was eight years old.
