Christmas came a day early for Green Day fans when the band released a brand-new holiday single today.
Titleed “Xmas Time of the Year,”; the rockin’ Yuletide tune is the first new release from Billie Joe Armstrong and the band since last year’s Demolicious, an album comprised of demos from their 2012 album ¡Uno! ¡Dos! ¡Tré! trilogy, released on Record Store Day.

While the band is reportedly at work on a new album (which producer Rob Cavallo told Kerrang “will be amazing), this holiday song will have to hold us over until the new album arrives. Listen:
