It’s official: “Schitt’s Creek” star Emily Hampshire and singer-songwriter Teddy Geiger are dating, with the 37-year-old actress sharing a photo of herself and Geiger on social media.
Geiger — who, in October 2017, announced plans to transition from male to female — confirmed the relationship in a poetic Instagram post of her own.

Prior to making the reveal, Hampshire shared a silly photo of herself and Geiger earlier this week.
Hampshire isn’t the only famous Canadian who’s close with Geiger, who became close friends with Shawn Mendes after they worked together on Mendes’ latest LP, Shawn Mendes.
“I made the whole album with her. I met Teddy the night I cut ‘Stitches’ and we’ve had a really special connection ever since then, and for her to feel so comfortable with me and the other songwriters the night she came out… I can’t express how happy that made me,” Mendes told Entertainment Weekly about Geiger coming out as trans.
