Jennifer Love Hewitt discussed her friendship with Michael Jackson on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Tuesday.
The 39-year-old starred alongside Jackson, who died in June 2009 at age 50, in an LA Gear commercial when she was just 10 years old.
Admitting she didn’t realize it was Jackson she’d be working with at first, the actress shared: “Now thinking back on it, if I had been in my 20s, I probably would have pooped my pants a little bit. Like, ‘Oh my God! I’m about to work with Michael Jackson.’
“At 10, I was just like, ‘Oh, he’s so cool. This is going to be really fun.'”
Hewitt then recalled how she’d attended a charity function after filming, saying Jackson “stopped at the end of the day [and] he was like, ‘You don’t know how important it is that you’re doing something that’s special and important for other people.’
“And he was like, ‘Never lose that. Always be that person.'”
Hewitt’s interview also saw her speak about her new TV show “9-1-1”.
