While there are endless amounts of theories on what makes a relationship last, many agree that the ability to “laugh off the small stuff”; is key. If that’s true, then these funny Hollywood couples all have a head start.

This year Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann reprise their roles as Pete and Debbie, the quirky couple from Knocked Up, except this time around the focus is on how they get through their own midlife crises in This Is 40. In a recent interview for the film, the two told a harrowing story of how Paul almost killed Leslie in real life, and as scary as it must have been we can’t help but wish we were there.

“Yea, the éclair was down my throat, and then he put his mouth over my mouth and I couldn’t breathe. Like I really couldn’t breathe and I was laughing…and I couldn’t get him to stop,”; Leslie said, adding “I felt like I couldn’t breathe, like I would die.”;

Now if you’re going to pass away on the set of a movie, being smothered by an éclair and Paul Rudd doesn’t sound like a bad send-off. But we’re sure that Leslie’s real life husband (and coincidentally the film’s director) Judd Apatow would have something else to say about this, seeing as the two have been married for over 10 years and have two daughters who star with Leslie in this film.

Meanwhile, Paul and Leslie’s Knocked Up co-star Seth Rogen is joining forces with a classic comedienne, Barbra Streisand in The Guilt Trip. In the film, Barbra plays Seth’s mother who is invited to travel across the United States with him on a road trip when, of course, hilarity ensues.

And it seems that Seth, who’s just celebrated his one-year anniversary with wife and For a Good Time Call… star Lauren Anne Miller, doesn’t have the best luck with his real life in laws. The actor told Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan this morning on Live With Kelly and Michael, how his idea to publicly share the details of how he proposed got him in hot water with his father-in-law.  Watch below!
