The English-language French-Belgian drama depicts the tragedy on August 12, 2000, in which 118 Russian sailors died after the ship sank due to explosions within the vessel. Only 23 sailors survived the naval run, as detailed in Robert Moore’s book A Time to Die.

Matthias Schoenaerts, Colin Firth and Lea Seydoux star in the movie from “Far From the Madding Crowd” and “The Hunt” director Thomas Vinterberg.
