Robert Pattinson Talks ‘Twilight’ At TIFF, Says He’s ‘Ready To Play 17 Again’

Attention all “Twilight” fans! There may be a reunion in the future.

Robert Pattinson attended the TIFF premiere of his new film “High Life” on Sunday, where he discussed working with famed French director Claire Denis.

“She’s one of the best directors in the world… easily,” Pattinson told us on the red carpet. “She’s always been in my top three. She’s incredibly outspoken, she’s hilarious…and she’s so determined to get what she wants, it’s kind of — it’s an amazing experience to work with her.”

But it’s this Variety interview below that has Twihards buzzing:

During his sitdown with the popular publication in their TIFF studio, Robert was asked if he’d ever consider revisiting the now-iconic franchise.

“I was literally talking to my agent about it. The amount of time I spend moisturizing — I am ready to play 17 again at a moment’s notice,” he laughed. “I’m ready — I’ve got the botox out!”

Unfortunately for him, his “High Life” co-star Mia Goth never hopped on the “Twilight” bandwagon. “I’ve never really connected to those kinds of movies,” she admitted. “I never really understood ‘Harry Potter’ or ‘Lord of the Rings’,” to which Robert joked, “Anything [I]’ve ever done, [you] just don’t get.”

All kidding aside, Robert is well aware of the pop culture impact of the films. “Whenever anyone says [“Twilight”]’s their guilty pleasure, it’s like, ‘You say guilty, what you really mean is just pleasure.”
