James Franco stars alongside Tim Blake Nelson, Brendan Gleeson, Liam Neeson, and Tom Waits in the new film “The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs”.
Directors Joel and Ethan Coen are taking on another western with what was supposed to be a limited series for Netflix.
The film will still be episodic in nature, though, telling six separate stories all connected to titular Buster Scruggs, played by Blake Nelson.
The Coen brothers are known for their award-winning work on “No Country For Old Men” and “True Grit”; on this western, however, the brothers will be without cinematographer Roger Deakins. with Bruno Delbonnel standing in.
The streaming giant will release “Buster Scruggs” on Nov. 16 with a limited theatrical release beginning this Friday.
