As Hurricane Florence bears down on the southern coast of North Carolina, the impending storm is creating chaos in the music world as several artists have announced plans to cancel shows in the projected strike zone.
As Rolling Stone reports, the Zac Brown Band have announced plans to cancel upcoming shows in Charlotte (Sept. 13), Raleigh (Sept. 14) and Virginia Beach,(Sept. 15); refunds are available, and no rescheduled dates have been announced.
Country artist Jason Aldean has also announced he’ll be cancelling his Thursday night show in Cincinnati, citing the “unprecedented rainfall” that has caused the Ohio River “to rise above flood stage.”
In addition, country singer Alan Jackson is cancelling upcoming shows in Charleston (Sept. 14) and Charlotte (Sept. 15), and sends “prayers for the safety to all those impacted” by the hurricane.
