Julia Roberts is giving us chills with her latest role.
On Tuesday, Amazon Prime Video released the second mind-bending official trailer for their upcoming psychological thriller, “Homecoming”.
Directed by “Mr. Robot” creator Sam Esmail, the new web television series sees Roberts play Heidi Bergman, a caseworker at the Homecoming Transitional Support Center for soldiers transitioning back to civilian life.
But while soldier Walter Cruz, played by Stephan James, appears eager to join the program, Bergman soon begins to question the ethics behind the support centre controlled by her manic boss Colin Belfast, played by Bobby Cannavale.
Opening the second trailer, viewers see Bergman 4 years later working as a small-town waitress and living with her mother, played by Sissy Spacek, where she is questioned about the mysterious reason why she left the facility.
The series, based on Eli Horowitz and Micah Bloomberg’s podcast of the same name, also stars Jeremy Allen White, Shea Whigham, Alex Karpovsky and Robert’s 1997 “My Best Friend’s Wedding” co-star Dermot Mulroney.
“Homecoming” will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on Nov. 2.
