Chrissy Teigen believes eating her placenta helped prevent a second round of postpartum depression.
The “Lip Sync Battle” host was very open about her struggles with postpartum depression after the birth of her first child, Luna.
Teigen, 32, believes a very particular change in her diet helped prevent a similar struggle following the birth of baby number 2, Miles.
“Really? That’s not a normal thing?” Teigen responded to skepticism from “CBS Sunday Morning” host Rita Braver. “I’m in L.A., it’s very normal. They grill it here. You can try some of mine after.”
It takes some courage to be so open about one’s fertility experiences but Teigen says her fans are on her side: “I think people on social media are my friends. And I think they deserved to know. I don’t know, is that so weird?”
Teigen and her husband John Legend welcomed their second child in May.
