The collaboration of the century took place on Thursday’s edition of “The Late Late Show” when Dr. Phil joined pop-rock band Good Charlotte for a once in a lifetime performance.
In the sketch, host James Corden revealed his secret side-gig as a “music performance enhancement coach” and put his so-called skills to use by attempting to turn Good Charlotte into Great Charlotte.
“I’m here to rock this b***h,” Dr. Phil said as Corden introduced him to the bemused-looking band members. “This is just so exciting, I’m like a pig in the mud,” he continued. “I cannot thank James enough.”
However, the excitement soon dissipated when it came time to perform. Despite Dr. Phil looking the part, donned in studded leather and face tattoos, his singing left a lot to be desired.
“I’ll be the first to admit, I got that very, very wrong,” Corden said. “If anything, that was Bad Charlotte.”
At least Dr. Phil was happy with his performance. “Nailed it!” he exclaimed.
