Carrie Underwood admitted she was recently hospitalized for three days in Germany with a viral infection.
Underwood, 35, who is a mom to three-year-old Isaiah with husband Mike Fisher, explained on Thursday’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon: “I woke up and I had vertigo. I could not stand up.”
The musician ended up cancelling a handful of U.K. gigs — Loughborough’s The Long Road Festival and BBC Radio 2 in Hyde Park in London — as well as several scheduled interviews to promote her new album.
Underwood’s appearance on the show, which aired from Central Park, also saw her gush about recently announcing her pregnancy.
She said of Isaiah’s reaction, “He’s absolutely amazing, we’re excited to add to the family.”
The singer previously announced the news in an adorable video while revealing details of her upcoming 2019 “Cry Pretty Tour 360”.
“You might be wondering or asking, ‘Carrie, why is your tour starting in May?’ Well … yay! Mike and Isaiah and I are absolutely over the moon and excited to be adding another fish to our pond.
“This has just been a dream come true with album and baby news. We’re just so excited that you guys can share this with us and be a part of this with us.”
