Tiffany Haddish is battling hate with love.
Comedian Katt Williams criticized the “Girls Trip” star when sitting down with V-103 Atlanta’s “Frank and Wanda” on Friday. Williams, 47, believed Haddish’s success as a comedian is undeserved.
“She ain’t done a tour yet. She ain’t done a special,” Williams said. “She has not proven the ability to tell jokes back-to-back for an hour to nobody.”
He further alleged the media only likes Haddish because she wants “to sleep with a white man,” alluding to her rumoured relationship with recently divorced Brad Pitt.
“She had a white husband for all of the 14 years she’s been doing comedy and then all of a sudden divorced him,” Williams continued. “Then said he abused her. Then wrote a book. Then said he didn’t and then now we’re at Brad Pitt.”
To her credit, Haddish refused to let Williams’ words keep her down. “It’s official I made it! [Katt Williams] talked about me and didn’t have his facts right!” Haddish tweeted. “I look forward to seeing you on Monday, Katt, when we pick up our Emmys. I just want to shower you with REAL love cause you need it, and I love you.”
Her movie career is continuing to blossom with three remaining film releases scheduled for 2018: “Night School” opposite Kevin Hart, “Nobody’s Fool” with Tika Sumpter and Whoopi Golberg, and “The Oath” featuring Ike Barinholtz and John Cho.
