Weather Channel Reporter Slammed Online For Being Overly Dramatic While Covering Hurricane Florence

A Weather Channel video has gone viral after reporter Mike Seidel was seen struggling to stand on his feet while covering Hurricane Florence, despite two people easily walking past him in the background.

Seidel could barely maintain his balance as he attempted to cover the weather while embracing the wind. However, social media users weren’t buying any of it after spotting other people in the clip.

“This is about as nasty as it’s been,” Seidel said in the vid, which was filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina.

The Weather Channel have since released a statement in Seidel’s defence.

Their message read, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution: “It’s important to note that the two individuals in the background are walking on concrete, and Mike Seidel is trying to maintain his footing on wet grass, after reporting on-air until 1:00 a.m. ET this morning and is undoubtedly exhausted.”
