Larry King Says Julie Chen Is ‘A Stand-Up Girl’ For Sticking By Les Moonves

Larry King is not defending Les Moonves, but he definitely understands a woman standing by her man.

The entertainer ran into TMZ in Los Angeles on Friday night. “She’s his wife, I think she’s a stand-up girl,” King said.

“I’ve known Les a long time,” the 84-year-old continued. “I like Les, I don’t like what happened 20 years ago and I think those things, if true, are terrible.”

Chen recently returned to “Big Brother” after her husband Moonves left his position as chairman of CBS following multiple sexual misconduct allegations. For the first time on “BB”, Chen signed off as “Julie Chen Moonves”. To many, this was a sort of silent protest in support of her husband.

And King’s wife Shawn is on the same page as Chen. “She’s his wife, if somebody had said something about Larry I would stand right by him,” she told the tabloid outlet.

On Monday, Chen announced she would be taking time off from “The Talk” to be with her family.
