Some of the biggest names in television are walking the 2018 Emmy Awards red carpet Monday and here’s where you can watch the action unfold as it happens.
PeopleNow will be livestreaming TV’s biggest night from the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, with viewers able to send in their questions for the stars using the hashtag #RedCarpetLive (watch above). Plus, the Television Academy will have all your backstage Emmys action livestreaming above.
Global’s “Saturday Night Live” stars Michael Che and Colin Jost will be hosting the event, with the likes of Constance Wu, Alec Baldwin, Tina Fey, Sandra Oh and Kit Harington joining them as guest presenters.
The ceremony comes after Jost spoke out about his hosting duties, calling awards shows too “self-serious.”
“I think most of the time they’re way too self-serious and focused on things that 99 per cent of the country doesn’t care about,” he told the Los Angeles Times.
“At the end of the day, it’s adults getting trophies. Why should that be taken seriously? And remember when movies like ‘Gladiator’ won Best Picture? Why can’t good, fun things win and not just good artsy things? They’re both good and the fun ones are sometimes a lot harder to make.”
