Emmy winner Glenn Weiss just pulled off the sweetest proposal at the Emmy Awards.

While accepting his award for 2018 Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special for his work on the Oscars, Weiss got up on stage and thanked his family, including his girlfriend, who shortly after became his fiancee.

“Do you know why I don’t like to call you my girlfriend?” Weiss said to his girlfriend during his speech. “Because I want to call you my wife.”

Cheers erupted in the crowd and stars, especially Leslie Jones and Benedict Cumberbatch, in the front row were shocked as they stood up to applaud and congratulate.

Weiss presented his late mother’s engagement ring before getting down on one knee, and of course, she said “yes.”

“This is the ring that my dad put on my mom’s finger 67 years ago,” he shared before turning to the camera adding, “And to my sisters and brothers, I didn’t swipe it. Dad knows I have it, okay?”
