Lil Peep and XXXTentacion’s posthumous collaboration “Falling Down” has finally been unveiled.
Peep, real name Gustav Elijah Ahr, started working on the track last year before his tragic death at 21. The rapper co-wrote the song with ILoveMakonnen, who is no longer featured on the new release.
XXXTentacion, who was shot dead in Florida in June aged 20, sings in the track: “Rain keeps falling, tears keeping falling/Darling, your love is like walking on pin nails.”
Makonnen recently told XXL of the release: “The difference is that me and Peep’s version is we were kinda talking to each other, answering each other.
“X’s version is kinda, it’s the same, but kind of honouring and bigging up Peep.”
Peep’s latest posthumous release comes after he starred on the Marshmello-produced song “Spotlight”, as well as the Clams Casino collaboration, “4 Gold Chains”.
XXX, on the other hand, featured on Trippie Redd’s “Ghostbusters”, as well as Sauce Walka’s DJ Carnage-produced track “Voss”.
