Despite an array of precautions, things can still go wrong when using firearms on a movie set — just ask Suki Waterhouse.
In an interview with Page Six during the NYC premiere of her new film “Assassination Nation”, the model/actress revealed that she accidentally shot someone during filming in New Orleans.
“I hurt somebody,” revealed Waterhouse, 26. “The bullet ricocheted. They hadn’t seen that in 20 years. The bullet came back at the guy and hurt him,” she explained.
“We didn’t get extensive [firearms] training. I’m not gonna lie, it was maybe an hour,” she added.
Waterhouse didn’t reveal the victim’s name, and reps for “Assassination Nation” had no further info to offer about the incident.
In the gritty teen drama that made its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival, Waterhouse stars alongside Odessa Young, Hari Nef, and Abra, playing a quartet of best friends whose lives are plunged into chaos when their secrets are spilled by an anonymous computer.
“Assassination Nation” hits theatres on Friday, Sept. 21.
