Tom Selleck is departing from the National Rifle Association’s board of directors.
The “Blue Bloods” actor’s publicist confirmed the news to Reuters on Wednesday. “Tom Selleck has stepped down from the board of the NRA due to his work schedule,” Annett Wolf said in a statement.
Despite stepping down from the board, Selleck remains a member of the nonprofit gun-rights association. Selleck, 73, joined the NRA board in 2005 and has been a member of the organization since he was 8-years-old.
Season nine of “Blue Bloods” premieres Sept. 28.
