Even the cast of “Game Of Thrones” need a break from their often-dark drama.
Peter Dinklage, who just picked up the Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama for his role as Tyrion Lannister on the series, tells Jimmy Kimmel the cast love to pull pranks on set. The actor reveals he has one very special go-to prank.
“I like to pretend I’m dead,” he says during his appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live”. “It’s always just…it’s fun.”
And it’s not just his cast mates who get to discover the “dead” Dinklage.
“The wardrobe person or the producers. Just my legs sprawled out in the trailer,” he says, explaining his technique. “You gotta get really smushed on the floor or in a very awkward position.”
And Dinklage is really committed to the prank, telling Kimmel he can wait in his “dead” position “for hours.”
“We have a lot of time on set,” Dinklage adds.
Dinklage’s co-stars can rest easy now with principal production on the final season of the series wrapped. Backstage at the Emmys, Dinklage admits the end of the show was “very sad.”
“This is not only a great TV show to be a part of, but it was an enormous family to be a part of,” he said.
