Kelly Clarkson is calling out iHeartRadio.
The singer, 36, is set to perform at the station’s annual iHeartRadio Music Festival, but she’s not happy with the platform.
iHeart’s official Twitter account wrote a story about Clarkson’s most recent business venture as talk show host, but captioned the story with: “#iHeartFestival performer? Check. Talk show host? Check. Kelly Clarkson is doing it all.”
But in a reply to the story, Clarkson called the station out for not playing her music.
“Except for getting my songs played on your stations,” she clapped back. “I guess I’m cool enough to invite but not cool enough to play my record.”
She accompanied the message with a few hashtags, “#Truth #Check #SeeYaSaturday #MeaningOfLife.”
A rep for iHeartRadio said Clarkson’s accusations were untrue in a statement obtained by ET Canada. “Kelly has always been one of our most played artists,” the rep insisted. “As soon as her record company puts out her next song, we’ll be playing that one too.”
Clarkson challenged iHeartRadio to make good on their claims:
The annual iHeartRadio festival takes place Sept. 21-22.
