Piers Morgan has made it a habit to pick Twitter battles with celebrities, but he may have met his match with Tess Holliday.
It all started when Morgan shared a photo of the plus-size model’s cover of the British edition of Cosmopolitan, sniping that despite the message of body acceptance she promotes, the photo of Holliday on the cover “is just as dangerous & misguided as celebrating size zero models.”
A few days later, Holliday addressed Morgan’s diss during an appearance on “Good Morning America”, calling him out by name.
“Unlike Piers Morgan, I don’t need to troll people to stay relevant,” she said. “I get to have an awesome job and do what I love and hopefully change people’s lives.”
Morgan, however, kept the feud going after Holliday shared an lingerie-clad selfie on social media.
The selfie earned Holliday a scathing rebuke from the former “America’s Got Talent” judge, who tweeted that Holliday “badly needs better friends, who are going to be more honest with her & explain she is dangerously overweight & should do something about it.”
Holliday fired back, insisting that Morgan is “obsessed” with her, “like you’re almost into thicker girls & too afraid to admit it.”
Morgan then went on to slam Holliday in a Daily Mail editorial in which he claimed to have “never heard of” her before describing her as “suffering from morbid obesity.”
Continuing, Morgan dismisses the 300-pound model’s claim “that it took me being the heaviest to finally love myself.”
Morgan, however, sees things differently. “I think you’re trapped in a hellish spiral of self-delusion in which your soaring fame and fortune is entirely dependent on you remaining morbidly obese,” he writes.

He addes that he’s “not obsessed with you, I’m worried about you,” writing: “a real friend would be telling you what I am telling you.”
For now, Holliday is having the last word after issuing a curt Twitter response to a tweet linking to The Wrap’s coverage of her feud with Morgan reporting that he “rips” her:
