As the controversy rages on over Christine Blasey Ford’s accusations that Republican Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her when they were teenagers, a social media movement is gathering steam in hopes of convincing Ivanka Trump to throw her support behind Ford.

Earlier this week, Vanity Fair reported that the daughter of President Donald Trump, apparently recognizing the cultural shift that’s underway thanks to the #MeToo movement, advised her father to “cut bait” and dump Kavanaugh.

Assuming the report is accurate, numerous people have begun using the hashtag #DearIvanka to appeal to the First Daughter/presidential adviser in hopes she’ll publicly support Ford, who has yet to testify but has already been attacked by Republican lawmakers questioning the veracity of her story — including the president, who weighed in with some truly tone-deaf tweeting.

As a result of Vanity Fair‘s report, numerous social media users have used the #DearIvanka hashtag and sent the following message asking Trump to use her influence to “demand that Professor Ford’s request for a full, fair, trauma-informed investigation by the FBI be held.”

In fact, celebrities including Chelsea Handler, Debra Messing, Alyssa Milano, Busy Phillipps and more have jumped on the #DearIvanka bandwagon as well:

Dear @IvankaTrump, I figured after the last one of these calls for you to take action, you’d unfollow me. But you’re still following me!! So, let me use this opportunity to call you in. Rather than feeling called out, try to see this as an invitation to merge your words and your actions. Girl. You can do it. • There’s a lot of things happening in your father’s first term that are grotesque. From dismantling the protection of water and air and the EPA in general, to putting kids in cages, and then stealing money from health and human services to pay for more cages for more kids — yeah, more than $200 MILLION from cancer research and AIDS research and mental health services — the list goes on. A lot of it is wrong. But here’s the thing with what’s happening THIS week… • You’ve proclaimed yourself a feminist and a champion of women’s rights. Right now, you have an opportunity to actually fight for women. Use your access to demand that Professor Ford’s request for a full, fair, trauma-informed investigation by the FBI be held. There should be no rush when it comes to confirming a lifetime appointment for a man who’ll judge women until his last days. Why NOT investigate? After all, Dr. Ford WANTS a full investigation. Brett doesn’t. Your Dad doesn’t… but that’s a separate conversation. I’m asking — truly asking — what about you?? As a woman who, if not having experienced assault herself, must have friends who’ve been victims? As 51% of the population don’t we deserve equal protections? Don’t you think, our so-called “sister?” #DearIvanka
