Drake’s fans in Miami were disappointed when the two shows he was scheduled to play there were postponed at the last minute.
“Due to circumstances beyond out control, the ‘Aubrey and the Three Migos’ dates in Miami on Sept 21st and 22nd” were postponed until November, with Miami’s American Airlines Arena breaking the news on Twitter.
While no reason was provided for why the shows were cancelled, Drake himself took to Instagram Stories to explain what happened: he fell ill.
“I just wanted to say how sorry I am about these two Miami shows,” he wrote. “I got so ill so fast and I had never experienced anything like that in my life.”
He added: “Unlike other cancellations or date adjustments due to production issues this one fell on me and I just want to apologize because I hate letting down anyone who [comes] to share these moments with us.”
Drake went on to thank the medical personnel who “helped me with round the clock care.”
Drake’s cancelled Miami shows have been rescheduled for Nov. 13 and 14.
Meanwhile, the Aubrey and the Three Migos tour continues to roll on, with the next stop to be New Orleans’ Smoothie King Center on Monday, Sept. 24.
